I have been teaching Nia for many years and I love it! I enjoy the expressive movements and the playfulness of free dance combined with the great workout which my body enjoys.
Nia is based on the intelligent design of the body. Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you feeling more energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced.
Nia classes combine 52 simple moves with dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts blended into a non-impact, barefoot practice that is adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
Nia has created magic in my life by giving me a deeper connection to my body and a heightened awareness of what it means to live in this body. I am fully aware of what brings me joy and pleasure in my life and teaching Nia is one of those things. My Nia practice brings me closer to my true self; joyful, peaceful, connected and fully alive. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this wonderful technique with others.
