Dance Class Description
A class for the curious, with all levels of experience. Progressing from the post-modern foundations developed in the 1970’s we will explore some principles of contemporary dance in a relaxed and fun environment.
Each class will touch upon:
Release; folding and extending; bio-mechanical understanding of form; gravity / up and down from the floor; phrases of movement; improvisation
Pilates Mat Class Description
By placing a strong emphasis on functional anatomy we will engage specific muscles, and release others. The class focuses on creating support for the legs and freedom for the spine, hips and shoulders. Participants will be directed through a series of exercises to strengthen the core, stretch the muscles and open the joints. Special attention will be given to the specific needs of each participant. You will leave with a fantastic feeling of openness and grounded-ness!
